20TH CENTURY HERITAGE
The various buildings on the site of the Espiguette estate are part of an important winegrowing complex with their high white walls and elegant stone columns. In 1962, the Association Nationale Technique pour l'Amélioration de la Viticulture - Antav - was created by the professional organisations who chose the Espiguette estate to set up vineyards.
In 1969, two complexes were built by the architect Joseph Massota: a national technical establishment for the improvement of viticulture - Antav - and an experimental viticultural centre (Sicarex- Méditerranée). On the wall of the former cellar, which runs alongside the road, there is a mural fresco in enamelled lava tiles by the artist Pierre Saint-Paul, representing in a stylised way a sun, the sea and 3 bottles of wine (red, white and rosé).
